Fashion Design
Build a distinctive fashion proposal through concept research, cultural inquiry, material thinking and visual development.
TRACK INTRODUCTION
Track introduction
This track is open to original fashion design works. Students are encouraged to develop a complete proposal through theme concepts, cultural research, creative imagination, textile and material exploration, and personal interpretation.
Submissions should demonstrate clear fashion design thinking and balance wearability, experimentation, runway impact and portfolio completeness.

Preliminary submission requirements
Track-specific materials

Submit one complete fashion design proposal.
- 02
Include inspiration, theme concept, design sketches, renderings and any other material needed to communicate the design logic.
Requirements for every track
Preliminary submissions are completed online. Work descriptions may be in Chinese or English.

The work must be original and created by the student.
- 02
Organise the principal work materials into one PDF of no more than 30 pages.
- 03
Submit the principal work as PDF. Each file must be under 80MB, with up to 3 files. Supplementary video must be MP4 or MOV and no longer than 3 minutes.

Retain high-resolution files, sketches, layers, model files or process records for any originality check.
FINAL ROUND
Final submission and presentation
Finalists must confirm participation, refine their work, submit the required physical or digital outcome, and attend an online presentation or interview as instructed by the Organising Committee.

Submit one to two complete finished garments, final renderings and a design statement of no more than 500 Chinese characters or equivalent length.
- 02
The statement should cover the title, inspiration, material choices, production process, styling features, wearing method and presentation plan.
- 03
The final is presented as a professional runway show, with models, hair and makeup, runway movement and presentation format coordinated by the Organising Committee.
EVALUATION
What the jury considers
- 01
Preliminary review: concept, originality, completeness of expression, track relevance and development potential.
- 02
Final review: the physical or digital work, creative statement, online presentation or interview, on-site presentation and the characteristics of the track.
- 03
Presentation or interview: understanding of the concept, creative process, materials and craft, styling logic, originality and communication.
- 04
The charter does not publish percentage weightings for individual criteria. Final results are subject to confirmation and official announcement by the Organizing Committee.
ORIGINALITY & AI
Originality and AI-use boundaries
- 01
AI tools or AI functions may not be used for ideation, creation, modification, organisation or the production of evaluation materials.
- 02
Conventional drawing, photography, scanning, layout, retouching, patternmaking, modelling and presentation software may be used, but any embedded AI functions must remain disabled.
